Privacy Policy

Wrist Control for Vallox ("the app") is a Wear OS app that shows the readings of a Vallox ventilation unit on your watch, switches its modes and helps tune its settings. It is developed by TinyOwl, the developer name of Viktoras Šidlauskas, an individual developer. The app is not made, endorsed or supported by Vallox Oy. "Vallox" and "MyVallox" are trademarks of Vallox Oy and are used only to say which units the app works with.

In short: the app has no server of its own, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Everything stays on your watch, except what has to go to your own ventilation unit, the Vallox cloud or Google Play to do what you asked.

If you sign in from the phone app, your e-mail and password travel from the phone to the watch over the encrypted Wear OS connection between your own devices. The phone does not keep them; the watch checks them with the Vallox cloud and stores them as described above.

Purchases

Pro is a one-time in-app purchase made through Google Play. Payment details are handled by Google and never reach the app or the developer. The app only asks Google Play whether Pro has been purchased. To do this the app includes the Google Play Billing Library, which communicates with Google Play under Google's Privacy Policy.

What the app does not do

It does not collect or share personal data with the developer or any third party.
It does not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking SDKs.
It does not access your location, contacts, health data, microphone or camera.
It does not sell data. There is no data to sell.

Permissions

Internet, network state, change network state: to reach your unit on the home network or the Vallox cloud, and to ask for Wi-Fi only when needed.
Run at startup: so the background refresh continues after the watch restarts.
Notifications: for alerts about indoor air and when it is time to change the filters. Each alert can be turned off in the app.
Google Play billing: to buy Pro.

Your control over the data

Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in the watch settings, removes everything it stored on the watch, including the e-mail and the encrypted password.
Entering a different account in the app replaces the stored one.
Your Vallox cloud account is managed by Vallox Oy under their own privacy policy. Your Google Play purchases are managed by Google.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly handle data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date.
